2.2.8.8 - KNEE button
Used to make KNEE range adjustments.
These adjustments concern the white compression (knee)
device used to restore the most strongly illuminated parts of
the image over a low dynamic while conserving the colori-
metry of the compressed areas.

This page is used to modify the following parameters:
• LEVEL: Compression threshold adjustment in mode
KNEE=MANU or KNEE=AUTO.
• MAN SLOPE: Compression slope in manual mode
(KNEE=MANU).
• KNEE :
- ON: Compressor (Knee) on.
- OFF: Compressor (Knee) off.
ON and OFF switching is obtained directly using the
corresponding button.
• KNEE :
- MANU: The compression start threshold (Knee) is
adjusted by means of the LVL control, the compressor
(Knee) slope is adjustable using MAN SLOPE.
- AUTO: The start of compression (Knee) threshold is
adjusted by means of the LVL control; the slope is
adjusted automatically according to the video level so
as to restore the most strongly illuminated parts of the
picture over a low dynamic.
- AUTOHOLD: The KNEE LEVEL (LVL) and the
KNEE SLOPE are fixed and imposed by the AUTO
position previously selected.
