3.
Slide the hinges into the slots as far as they will go
and lower the door straight down .
The angle of the door may need to be adjusted slightly
to allow the hinges to engage properly and the door to
be lowered into place. The door should lower about
3/4" (2 cm) and stop. If it does not, the hinges have not
engaged properly and the door could fall if it is released.
4.
Once both hinges are fully engaged, gently open the
door until it is fully open.
5.
Push the levers on both the hinges up and forward until
they are locked into the slot and flush with the front of
the oven body.
6.
Close and open the door slowly to be sure it is correctly
and securely in place.
11.2 Adjusting the door alignment for side
hinge doors
When the unit is fully installed into the cabinet, you can
adjust the alignment of the side hinge oven doors.
1.
Check to see if the oven doors are properly aligned.
– Examine the gap between the top of the closed oven
door and the control panel. For double ovens also ex-
amine the gap between the top of the closed lower
oven door and the upper oven door. It should be fairly
uniform from side to side.
– The door should pull itself closed smoothly when the
striker engages the roller as the door is closed.
– If you feel interference between the striker and the
catch receiver, the door is too high. The door needs
to move down on the latch side.
– If you feel a bump when the striker comes into con-
tact with the realignment roller, the door is too low.
The door needs to move up on the latch side.
2.
Open the door to approximately 135°.
3.
Note: All adjustments can be made with the lower hinge
only. The upper hinge is fixed in place and cannot be
adjusted.
Use a T-20 star bit screwdriver to loosen the three (3)
screws on the lower hinge by one to two full turns.
