Rear Brake Pedal Freeplay and Movement
Rear brake pedal freeplay, the amount of brake pedal movement
from the rest position to the point that the master cylinder pushrod
touches the master cylinder piston should be 4.5-7mm (.177″ -
.280″). Adjust pedal freeplay as necessary (see page 110).
Press and release the rear brake pedal. It should move freely and
smoothly and should return to its rest position quickly when you
release it. You should feel a firm resistance in the pedal within the
first 3/8 inch (8 mm) of pedal travel.
