1 - VTR/CCU 26-pin socket
26-pin connector for connection:
• either of a remoted Beta type VTR (ENG configuration),
• or a CCU 1625 multi-conductor channel (EFP configuration),
via multi-conductor cable CCZ or CCZQ.
Use of 26-pin connector with a Beta Sony VTR
Camera to VTR signals:
• encoded video,
• Y,
• R-Y,
• B-Y,
• MIC: external microphone sound connected either to the adapter or to the camera head
(level - 60 dBm),
• VTR START/STOP,
• COLOR FRAME: indication of start of frame 1 useful in respecting colour phases
during setting up,
• VTR save.
VTR signals to camera:
• BATT IND: this signal causes the BATT indicator light in the camera viewfinder to
flash when the camera power supply from the VTR drops below 11.45 V. This light
lights permanently when the voltage drops below 11 V,
• REC-ALARM: this signal lights the REC indicator light in the viewfinder in the
recording mode. This signal causes this light to flash if there is a VTR alarm,
• AUDIO MONITOR: sound return from VTR for monitoring. This sound is applied to
the headset,
• RETURN VIDEO: VTR playback video signal. This video can be seen in the viewfinder
by pressing the RET controls on the lenses located either on the lens itself, for portable
lenses, or on the remote controls for a tripod system. This signal is sent permanently
over output RET OUT of the CA25,
• + 12 V: camera supplied from VTR. The camera can be supplied either independently
or from the VTR.
Use of the 26-pin conductor CCU 1625 channel
Signals from camera to channel:
• encoded video,
• Y or V,
• R-Y or r,
• B-Y or B,
• MIC: external microphone sound connected either to the adapter or to the camera head
(level - 20 dBm),
• serial data (camera status).
