2.2.3.2.2 - Triggered automatic balance
Centre a white surface (minimum 10% of total surface of image).
Set the "WHT BLK" selector switch on the front of the camera to "WHT". The iris swit-
ches to the "AUTO" mode and the white balance cycle begins. The white video levels
balance and the following are displayed in the viewfinder:
• - - -: "RUN" indicates that the balance is being adjusted. When the balance is correctly
adjusted, "OK" is displayed.
• *******: if the balance is incorrect:
- TIME LIMIT: the time allotted to execute the balance is completed and the black
levels are not perfectly balanced,
- OVERFLOW: the corrections made are maximum and the white levels are not
balanced,
- LOW LEVEL: the light intensity is too low to measure the white levels,
- HIGH LEVEL: the light intensity is too high to measure the white levels.
• TEMP: indicates the colour temperature determined according to the corrections made
by the balance automatic adjustment device to balance the three video levels.
The following messages are displayed only if the "DISPLAY" function is "ON" (Mainte-
nance):
• WHITE: indicates the corrections made to the red (R) and blue (B) videos. The values
can vary between 0 and 100. If the automated device makes few or no corrections, the
values shall be equal or close to 50.
