2.2 - CAMERA OPERATION
2.2.1 - Présentation
If there is no control panel linked to the camera, the camera can be operated in two
operating modes:
• the "BASIC" mode enabling the camera to be configured rapidly (standard operation),
• the "CUSTOM" mode, used to configure certain special operating settings related to
the choice of operating modes other than "basic", e.g.: detail level, colour temperature,
etc. This mode enables the cameraman to "customise" his picture.
If a control panel is connected to the camera:
• the camera is operated from the control panel (refer to the control panel manual),
• for the various functions accessible to the Cameraman, refer to the paragraph 2.2.7 -
"Cameraman operating functions with OCP".
2.2.1.1 - Displays
In addition to the shooting monitoring picture, the viewfinder will provide direct informa-
tion via indicator lights (e.g., battery discharge) and information called and inlaid on the
screen:
• status of operating status,
• centring aid graticle,
• alarm messages,
• in and out of image bargraphs. E.g.: audio level,
• video level indication,
• functions accessible in the Basic or in the Custom mode.
2.2.1.2 - Diagnostics
First line maintenance diagnostics: this system, after testing the interchangeable units,
indicates the defective assembly which should be replaced, if any.
