1Torch Adapter Kit

Installation Instructions
General Information
These instructions cover Thermal Dynamics Adapter Kit No. 7-3478. The kit connects 1Torch SL60 or SL100 Torches
equipped with O2B connectors, or the ATC Adapter Kit, to the following equipment:
• Miller* Spectrum* 625 Power Supply
Do not use this kit on any other equipment.
Supplied Parts
The kit includes:
• Adapter Assembly including Wire Harnesses with Connectors
• Strain Relief
• Tie Wraps (use as needed)
• Instructions
WARNINGS
Disconnect primary input power to the system before starting the installation.
Shut off the gas supply and bleed down the system.
Only a qualified technician should perform this procedure.
Procedure
1. Remove the Power Supply Cover per manufacturer's instructions.
2. Disconnect the original torch per manufacturer's instructions.
3. Slide back the insulation sleeve covering the pilot lead (with ring tongue terminal) on the Torch Leads or ATC
Adapter Kit. Cut the ring terminal off the pilot lead. Strip back the insulation approximately 1/4" / 6 mm
from the end of the wire.
4. Remove the tie wrap and the insulator from two wires connected together on the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter
Kit. Disconnect the two joined wires.
5. Remove the securing nut from the Strain Relief provided in this kit.
6. Slide the Strain Relief onto the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit leads.
7. Pass the ends of the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit leads through the access opening in the power supply.
Pass the strain relief securing nut over the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit leads. Use the strain relief nut to
secure the strain relief to the power supply. Do not tighten the strain relief onto the leads.
8. Thread the Torch Adapter securely onto the Torch Leads or Adapter Kit Leads Negative / Plasma (O2B)
fitting. Do not use sealant. Use a wrench to hold the Adapter Kit brass fitting stationary while using another
wrench to turn the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit O2B fitting. Do not overtighten.
