RPT Torch Adapter Kit

Installation Instructions
General Information
This kit connects Thermal Dynamics Torches equipped with O2B connectors, or the Thermal Dynamics 1Torch ATC
Adapter Kit, to the following Power Supplies:
• ESAB* Powercut* 650
Supplied Parts
The kit includes:
• Adapter Fitting
• Connection Cover
• Control Wire Connector (2)
• Through - Hole Protector
• Mounting Hardware
• Insulating Sleeve
• Tie Wrap (2)
• Instructions
WARNINGS
Disconnect primary input power to the system before starting the installation.
Shut off the gas supply and bleed down the system.
Only a qualified technician should perform this procedure.
Procedure
A. Preparation
1. Disconnect and remove the original torch per the Power Supply operator's manual.
2. Remove the securing nut from the Through - Hole Protector provided in this kit.
3. Remove the tie wrap and insulating sleeve covering two joined wires on the ATC adapter or torch leads
assembly. Disconnect the wires. Set the sleeve aside for later use.
4. Pass the end of the Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit through the Through - Hole Protector. Do not tighten the
Through - Hole Protector dome nut.
5. Install the Through - Hole Protector and Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit assembly on the torch connections
cover included in this kit. Secure the Through - Hole Protector to the connections cover with the securing nut.
6. The Torch Leads or ATC Adapter Kit includes a lead terminated in a ring terminal. Fold this lead back upon
itself. Slide the insulating sleeve from this kit onto the folded lead. Ensure that the sleeve covers the ring
terminal. Secure the sleeve in place with a tie wrap provided in this kit.
