• OFF reprodiicos the sound track with no compression.
• STD reproduces the sound track with the dvnamic
rango intended by the recording engineer.
• 0.1 ~ O.d allow
you
to compress the dvnamic rango in
small steps to achieve the sound \ ou desire.
• MAX provides a dramatic compression of the dynamic
range.
Note
Dynamic rango compression is not possible with DTSor MPEG
sources.
9 About the Dynamic Range Compressor
This parameter allows you to compress the dynamic range of the
soundtrack based on the dynamic range information included in
the Dolby Digital signal. "STD" is standard compression, but
because many sources hav e only light compression, you may not
notice much difference when using 0.1~0.9.
Therefore, we recommend using the "MAX" setting. This greatly
compresses the dynamic range and allows you to view movies
late at night at low volumes. Unlike analog limiters, the levels are
predetermined and provide a very natural compression.
MUTING [OFF]
Initial .sotting : off
Lots vou muto the sound (same as MUTING on the
romoto control).
• ON to mutes the sound from all speakers.
• OFF restores the sound to the original \ olume.
■ Volume
VOLUME -SO.OdB
Initial setting : 0 dB
Lets you adjust the master \ oliime. (Same as the MASTER
VOLUME control on the front panel.)
Digital dialog trim adjustment
DIALOG TRIM +X.XdB
Initial setting : 0 dB
Lets you adjust the output of the center speaker.
Increase this parameter if you are having trouble hearing
the dialog. If you did not install a center speaker, this
parameter adjusts the level of the center channel as it is
mixed with the sound of the front speakers.
■ Digital surround trim adjustment
SURR TRIM +X.XdB
Initial setting ; 0 dB
Lets you adjust the output of the rear speakers.
Increase this parameter if you feel that the surround
effects are too subtle. If you did not install rear speakers,
this parameter adjusts the level of the rear channels as
they are mixed with the sound of the front speakers.
