One Touch Play feature
Press I> on the CD player (or CD ► on
the remote) when the power is off. When a
CD is in the player, you will be able to start
listening to the CD without pressing any
other buttons. If no CD is inserted, the
system will just turn on. If O is pressed
when there are no discs in the player, then
the first disc tray will emerge, whether the
power is on or not.
Automatic Source Selection
If the CD player has been in the normal
play mode, you can select the CD player by
pressing O or the DISC 1-5 buttons.
If the CD player has been in the program
play or the shuffle play mode, only O can
be used for this function.
The Music Calendar Display
This display lights according to the number
of tracks on the CD. As each track is played,
the corresponding number disappears.
Tracks numbering in excess of 20 are not
displayed.
The Track Indicator Display
This display lights according to the number
of tracks on the CD.
When all disc trays are empty
"NO DISC" appears.
What the green and
orange indicators
indicate
An indicator is provided for each disc tray
(DISC 1 - 5).
•The green indicator shows that the tray is
selected (either during play or standby, or
when the tray is open) no matter if there is
a CD inside or not.
•The orange indicator shows that there is a
CD in the tray but the tray is not selected.
• When the indicator is off, there is no CD in
the tray and the tray is not selected.
To check the CDs in all disc trays
automatically
Press ^ OPEN/CLOSE of a disc tray for
more than two seconds. The five disc trays
open and close so that you can check the
contents.
Locating a Specific Track
You can quickly locate any track while
playing or pausing a CD.
To locate

Locating a Particular Point
in a Track
You can locate a particular point in a track
while playing or pausing a CD. Use the
buttons on the unit to operate this feature.

Locating a Specific CD
You can locate the beginning of any CD
during play, pause, or stop mode.
To locate the beginning of a
particular CD and start playing
Press the corresponding DISC 1-5 button.
During normal play mode, CD play starts.
To change to the next CD
Press DISC SKIP on the remote.
During play, the player selects the next CD
and starts playing.
During stop or pause, the player selects the
next CD and enters stop or pause mode.
To find a track directly
You can find a track you want just by
pressing the track number on the remote.
1 Press DISC.
2 Press the numeric button for the CD you
want.
3 Press TRACK.
4 Press the numeric button for the track
you want.
If the track number is 11 or more
Select the track number with the numeric
buttons after you press >10 on the remote,
e.g. Press >10,2,1 for the track number 21.
Press >10,2,10 for the track number 20.
"10" functions as the digit "0".
Notes on handling discs
• To keep the disc clean, handle the disc by
its edge. Do not touch the surface.
• Do not stick paper or tape onto the disc.
• Do not expose the CD to direct sunlight
or heat sources such as hot air ducts, nor
leave it in a car parked in direct sunlight
as there can be a considerable rise in
temperature inside the car.
The demonstration mode
The demonstration display starts
automatically when you turn on the power
for the first time. It also starts whenever
you leave the unit untouched for more than
one minute with all the disc trays empty.
