Adjusting the Sound
To fully enjoy the sound coming from your
stereo system, make the following audio
adjustments. See the following sections for
additional sound adjustments.
To adjust the volume
Turn VOLUME or press VOL (+/-) on the
remote.
To reinforce the bass
(for MHC-C7EX Only)
Use the Dynamic Bass Feedback System to
strengthen the bass.
Press DBFB.
As you press it, the display changes as
follows:
OFF- • LOW -► MID -► HIGH
tfyou use the Dynamic Bass Feedback
System with the graphic equalizer
If the bass is too strong, the music will
sound distorted. Adjust the bass slowly
while listening to music so that you can
monitor the effect that the adjustment has.
To listen through the headphones
Connect the headphones to the
HEADPHONES jack. No sound will come
from the speakers.
Selecting the Audio
Emphasis
Your stereo system has been factory set to
six (ten for MHC-C9EX) specially
recommended audio emphases. Choose
from among these settings according to the
type of music you are listening to.

1 Press MODE ON repeatedly until the
audio emphasis menu screen appears in
the display.

Press CURSOR (CURSOR CONTROL on
the remote) A or V until the audio
emphasis you want appears in the
display.
