The Alarm Integration Factor determines the number of times that the controller polls
and retries to determine the UPS status before deciding on an error status. Setting
the alarm integration factor too low will cause spurious alarms to be generated;
conversely, setting the alarm integration factor too high may result in an alarm only
being raised when it is already too late to take corrective action.
