Reverse display style
• Default setting:
On
When this feature is set to
On, the system will
periodically inverse the colors in the graphic
display. To switch this feature off, set to
Off.

Switch the system into standby.

Use the / (cursor left/right) buttons
to select ‘Reverse Display’.

Use the / (cursor up/down) buttons
to select ‘On’ or ‘Off’.

Press ENTER to exit.
Child Lock
• Default setting:
Off
This system has a child lock feature that makes
the front panel buttons inoperative. This is
useful when you’ve set the wake-up timer and
don’t want the unit switched on before it
activates.

Switch the system into standby.

Press SYS MENU.

Use the / (cursor left/right) buttons
to select ‘Child Lock’.
The current setting is shown in the display.

Use the / (cursor up/down) buttons
to select ‘On’ or ‘Off’.

Press ENTER to exit.
Recording DVD-Audio using
the REC Mode
• Default setting:
Off
When Rec Mode is
On, a stereo downmix of
multi-channel DVD-A discs is output from the
speakers and from the analog audio jacks.
When set to
Off, multi-channel DVD-A discs
are played through all the speakers, but nothing
is output from the analog audio jack.
Note that with some discs, only the front left/
right channels are output. Also, whether
On or
Off, DVD-A audio is not output from the digital
audio jack.

Press ‘CD DVD’ to switch the system to
the CD/DVD function.

Press SYS MENU.

Use the / (cursor left/right) buttons
to select ‘REC Mode’.

Use the / (cursor up/down) buttons
to select ‘On’ or ‘Off’.

Press ENTER.
Resetting the unit
Use this procedure to reset all the player’s
settings to the factory default.

Press TUNER.

Press and hold down the
7 (stop)
button on the front panel until you see the
message ‘Memory Clear?’ (about 8 seconds)
then release.

Within 3 seconds, press and hold down
the
7 (stop) button again for 3 seconds to
reset the system.
All the player’s settings are now reset, and you
should see the ‘Let’s Get Started’ screen.
