2. Use a 36" or wider base cabinet.
• Cut the opening in the countertop. To ensure
accuracy, it is best to make a template for the
opening. Make sure the sides of the opening are
parallel and the rear and front cuts ore exactly
perpendicular to the sides.
• Observe all minimum clearances.
For island installation, maintain 2-1/2" min. from
cutout to the front, bock, and side edges of
countertop.

NOTE: Allow 7/16" minimum
vertical clearance from the
cooktop bottom (or 4-9/16"

countertop) to any combustible
surfaces, such as a cabinet

countertop. Maintain 3 in.

cabinets around the cooktop can withstand heat
(up to 200°F) generated by the cooktop..

countertop and an
enclosure.

material. Also, an access panel is required for the
electrical outlet, pressure regulator, shut-off valve,
hold-down brackets, and service.
