Basic play
^ Before enjoying DVD/Video CD/CD ^
The On-Screen menu language of your player has been !
factory preset to English.
If you would like to change the menu language to !
French or Spanish, please refer to “Selecting language !
of On-Screen Display menu" on page 39.
In the explanations given below it is assumed that Eng­
lish has t№en selected as the menu language.
Preparations
•Confirm that the TV set or the audio equipment {if connected)
is properly connected to the player.
•Confirm that the VIDEO OUT SELECT switch on the rear of
the player is set to the appropriate position according to the
TV set to be connected. (See page 10.)
•Confirm that the power for the TV set or the audio equipment
(if connected) is turned on.
•Confirm that the input setting for the TV set or the audio
equipment (if connected) is properly selected.
(Example; Select “VCR

on the TV set if this player has
been connected to TV input connector [2].)

Press POWER to switch on the power.

Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the loading
drawer.
Place the disc(s) on the disc tray(s) with the
label side to be played facing upwards.
Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces, posi­
tion it with the label side to be played facing upwards,
align it with the guides, and place it in its proper position.

•Discs can be loaded two at a time by pressing DISC
SKIP to rotate the carousel.
