1. Tighten all Mounting Bar and Hand Guard Bolts once you have achieved the desired position.
2. Remove the 5 – Phillips head screws from the Left Hand Guard and “pop” out the mirror and
electronic “pod”.
3. Remove 2-Phillips head screws from the back of this “pod”. Insert 2 – AAA batteries into the
battery holder aligned correctly. Once power is achieved, the display will flash 16 “N” icons,
indicating the calibration mode.
4. Calibration:
Press the [MODE] button, the display will show the incorrect direction. Press and hold the
[Compass] button, and again the display will flash 16 “N” icons. Spin slowly in a circle with the
device. Then press the [MODE] button. It should now show an accurate direction. Reassemble
the “pod” into the hand guard.
NOTE: The Hand Guard must be calibrated, mounted and viewed within 10-15 degrees
of each other for the Hand Guard to read correctly.
5. Time Settings:
Time is set by pressing the [MODE] button until it is in “Clock Mode”. Press and Hold the
[MODE] button for 3 seconds, then the hour digits will flash. Press the [ADJUST] button to set
the hour. Then press [MODE] to switch to the minutes digits, indicated by flashing again. Press
the [ADJUST] button to set the minutes. Press the [MODE] button to confirm your settings.
6. Temperature Mode:
To enter temperature mode, first switch to “CLOCK MODE” the press the mode button. The
display will show the temperature in Celcius. To switch to Farenheit press the [ADJUST] button.
7. Compass Mode:
At the time or temperature mode, press the [COMPASS] button to enter the compass mode.
8. Repeat Steps 1-2 of the mounting instructions for the Right side application.
