20086 - Kolpin Gear Grips® Accessory Bases
These Kolpin Gear Grip Accessory Bases enable the use of Kolpin Gear Grips (P/N 20085) on different
machines. This is an accessory base kit; you must purchase the Kolpin Gear Grips in order to use this
component.
Gear Grip Not Included

Mounting:
1. Attach the Gear Grips to the mounting base by sliding the notches of the mounting base (1) into
the Gear Grip and rotate the Gear Grip 45 degrees. The mounting base may be mounted in 45
degree increments. Locate a desired position of the Gear Grip on the ATV.
2. Once position is achieved, remove the Gear Grips from the mounting base by pushing the release
lever and turning the Gear Grip 45 degrees. Then pull the Gear Grip off the mounting base.
3. Place the provided bolts into the hex holes of the mounting base making sure to use at least 2 bolts
per Gear Grip.
4. Align the upper metal plate with the holes of the mounting (1)
base. Mount between the rack tube and mounting base.
Upper metal plate is not needed for composite racks.
5. Align the lower metal plate below the rack so that
the bolts slide through the holes.
6. Place the nylon nuts on the bolts and tighten down.
(Over tightening may cause the mounting base to
deform which may not allow you to place the Gear
Grips on the mounting base.)
7. Repeat this procedure for the other Gear Grip. (2) (2)
Using the Gear Grips:
Place your desired item (not to be over 50lbs) inside the fingers of the Gear Grips until a tight fit is
achieved and simply push the single sided finger together towards the double sided finger. To release
the Gear Grips, just press on the push button release which is shaped like a Bull’s-eye. If the Gear
Grip is over tightened, you may have to compress the fingers on the Gear Grip to release the push
button. If you desire to remove the Gear Grips, simply push down on the base plate lever and rotate
the Gear Grip 45 degrees. You then can pull the Gear Grip from the mounting base.
