Power and Sound Controls
Power
If the car is not already running, turn the key in the ignition until the
accessory indicator lights.
Press PWR to switch on the power.
Note:
When a cassette is inserted with all power connected, the unit power
will automatically turn on and tape loading begins and plays.

When power is switched on for the first time, greeting words dispiay. To cancel
this display, press PWR to switch power off, then power on again.
Volume
• Press or to increase or decrease volume.
Volume Level

or for more than a half second to change numeric
levels on the display rapidly.
Tone Enhancement
<Only for CQ-R805EUC>
• Press LOUD to enhance bass and treble tones when listening at low
or medium volume.
• Press LOUD again to deactivate.
S*HDB (Super High Definition Bass)
<Only for CQ-R825EUC>
Especially for rock music, the bass-sound will be more powerful.
• Press HDB to be able to listen to high-definition bass.
• Press HDB again to return to the normal tone.
i-HDB
Note: This unit is equipped with an anti-volume-blast circuit which serves as an automatic volume level
adjuster so that you will not be deafened with sudden loud volume.
This system operates as foliows. When PWR is switched on, the volume level is low. After that, the vol
ume level gradually returns to its previous level prior to switching off the unit.
