XM-442 Voted EODS Relay Module
Module Indicators
The XM-442 module has three status indicators, which are on top of the module.
Module Status (MS) Indicator
Shutdown Relay Indicator
Alarm Relay Indicator
Self-Test
The XM-442 module performs a self-test at powerup. During the self-test, all of the indicators turn red for approximately 1
or 2 seconds. After the self-test has completed, the Module Status indicator changes from red to green if no fault is present,
and the Alarm and Shutdown indicators turn off.
Color State Description
No color Off No power applied to the module.
Green Solid Power applied to the module.
Red Solid An unrecoverable fault has occurred. It is possible that the module must be repaired or replaced.
Color State Description
Red Off On-board relays are not activated.
Solid On-board relays are activated:
• Overspeed condition on any two of the three EODS channels
• Failure of a sensor, power supply, or logic device on any two of the three EODS channels (circuit fault)
Color State Description
Red Off On-board relay is not activated.
Solid Onboard relay is activated:
• Overspeed condition on any one of the three EODS channels
• Failure of a sensor, power supply, or logic device on any one of the three EODS channels, or within the XM-442 module itself
(circuit fault)
• Failure of the XM-442 module’s primary or secondary power supply
