4) Using Wire Nuts (Fig. 1)
• Split the cable and strip wire insulation,
exposing at least 1/2” of wire on each side.
Repeat for the LVL cable.
• Fill the wirenut with silicone.
• Hold one set of bare wires together and
twist on the wire nut. Repeat for other
wire ends.
• Wrap connection with electrical tape.
5) 20 Watt base (Fig. 2)
• Using the enclosed nut, attach the base to
the stake.
• Bend the base tabs out over the screw posts
on the light.
• Thread on the bolts to the light in position.
To adjust the angle of the light, just loosen the
bolts on the side of the light and reposition.
6) replacing the Bulb (Fig. 3)
1) Make sure the transformer is unplugged before
changing the bulb. The light housing must be
above water to properly service the light bulb.
2) Unscrew the plastic hex cap from the front of
the light housing.
3) Use a thin flat-head screwdriver to pry
the light up and out of the housing.
Note: Removing the halogen light by
pulling the bulb is not recommended.
4) Insert the new bulb by inserting the
two metal plugs into the connector.
Note: Do not touch the halogen bulb
found inside the assembly.
5) Attach the hex cap back onto the light housing.
6) Test to make sure the light works.
7) Position light back into the pond.
7) Troubleshooting
• Double check to see if all of the connections are still intact and that there are no
exposed wires. Ensure that the wires are fully sealed with the wirenuts.
• The two copper wire stubs at the end of the cut light cable must not be touching each
other. Crossing wires will cause the transformer to burn-out! Re-cut if the wires are
crossing or the original cut was not precise.
• Bulb life can be greatly increased by setting timer on the transformer so the light(s)
only operate during the desired viewing times. (ex. On at dusk, and off at 1:00 a.m.)
