Congratulations on your purchase of the new Aquascape™ Ultra-
Klear™ Ultraviolet Clarifier! You are the owner of one of the best
UV Clarifiers on the market today. This unit comes with a bulb/bal-
last combo, ensuring that when you replace the bulb, the ballast is
replaced as well.
1) electrical Safety for UltraKlear™ UV
• UV Warning: Due to the properties of ultraviolet radiation, exposure to UV Bulb may cause
damage to eyes and skin.
• Always unplug filter unit electrical supply before any routine maintenance.
• Do not bury unit below ground level.
• Do not immerse unit in pond water.
• Ensure unit is installed at least 2 feet away from the edge of the pond.
• Do not operate UV with a damaged cord or plug.
• Any pond related electrical equipment requires a GFI protected circuit. Always have a
qualified electrician install any electrical outlets.
• Do not use cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
• Do not pull electrical cord to remove UV chamber cover for maintenance. See instructions
under routine maintenance for proper removal of the cover.
• This unit is designed for outdoor use only.
• Do not use pumps that exceed 0.4 bars maximum pressure
• These units are not designed for use with household water systems
• KEEP THIS MANUAL—DO NOT THROW AWAY!
