6.0 REPLACEMENT BLOWER INSTALLATION
A. Turn off the electrical power and the gas supply to the
appliance insert.
B. Open the glass door, see "DOOR REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION" section. Remove the glass media and
media tray, see "MEDIA TRAY INSTALLATION" section.
C. Remove the two side porcelain panels by removing the four
screws located at the front of the appliance then remove the
back porcelain panel.
D. Remove the front blower access cover held on with 4
screws.
E. Remove the rear blower access cover. NOTE: Check
the blower gasket for damage. Replace if damaged.
F. Disconnect the two blower wires. Remove the blower
from the mounting plate and replace. For thermal switch
replacement: Remove the mounting bracket secured to
the underside of the burner base. Remove the thermal
switch from the bracket and replace.
G. Reconnect the two wires. Re-install the blower gasket.
Reattach the blower mounting plate and blower access
covers. Replace the glass media. Close the glass door.
H. Turn the gas supply and electricity back on. Because
the blower is thermally activated, when turned on, it
will automatically start approximately 5-15 minutes
after lighting the appliance insert and will run for
approximately 30-45 minutes after the appliance
insert has been turned off. Use of the fan increases
the output of heat.
Drywall dust will penetrate into the blower
bearings causing irreparable damage and must be
prevented from coming into contact with the blower
or its compartment. Any damage resulting from this
condition is not covered by the warranty policy.

CORD BENEATH THE APPLIANCE.
THE WIRE HARNESS PROVIDED IN THE BLOWER KIT IS A UNIVERSAL HARNESS. WHEN
INSTALLED, ENSURE THAT ANY EXCESS WIRE IS CONTAINED, PREVENTING IT FROM MAKING
CONTACT WITH MOVING OR HOT OBJECTS.
