Connection to a 2-channel amplifier or mini-system
(Analogue connection)

(DVD-LV70 and DVD-LV55 have only one AUDIO terminal.)

Connect the equipment.

Select “2-channel” in “7 Speaker Setting” page 38).

As well as the connections shown above, you will need to connect center and sur
round speakers. See the operating instructions for the other equipment for connection
procedures.
•Turn V.S.S. off. Surround effects will not work correctly if V.S.S. is on.
■ When recording audio
You can connect recording equipment either through an amplifier or directly to this unit.
When connecting directly, use the same method used for connecting a 2-channel amplifier
or mini-system page 36, 37).
<Analogue recording>
You can record to a cassette or MD deck without sound being affected by copy guard if you
use analogue connection.
•Use a stereo connection cable for analogue connection.
DVD-LV75
When making analogue recordings, change the setting in “7 Speaker Setting” page 38,
“Speaker settings") to “2-channe!” even if you have connected 3 or more speakers to an am
plifier. This will ensure that you record the full soundtrack instead of just the 2 front speaker
channels.
