4.3 Turn on the pump
• Plug pump into GFI protected outlet.
• Allow system to run for at least one hour. Double check all fittings and filter for leaks. If
a leak has developed at a fitting, retighten the hose clamp. Because plumbing leaks will
cause your pond to lose water, continue to monitor all fittings and filter periodically to
ensure that new leaks do not develop.
• For proper pond circulation and filtration, pump and filter (if using) should operate 24
hours a day. Continuous filtration of the water is required to maintain clear water
