SETTING VALUES using the 1-KEY PROGRAMMING MODE

The single pushbutton enables the user to:

1A, 1B - Change the CO2 PPM setting (SETPOINT) and the ALTITUDE - this setting is required to maintain CO2 reading precision at higher altitude;
2- Calibrate the CO2 sensor in fresh air (400 PPM).

1A- Changing the CO2 PPM setting in 5 easy steps...:

1.

Hold the pushbutton for a minimum of 5 seconds, and not more than 9 seconds. The 3-LED display blinks at a rate of 1 pulse per second.

2.

Let button go (between 5 and 9 seconds) to enter the CO2 PPM display mode: the 3-LED display shows the current CO2 PPM setting (slow flashing).

3.

Click button repeatedly to change the value: 5 values are available; see the product overlay to figure out the CO2 PPM 3-LED code.

4.

Once selected, hold the button for a minimum of 5 seconds, the 3-LED display will stop flashing.

5.

Let button go: the 3-LED display will blink 4 times to confirm the new setting has been saved.

1B- ...and changing of the ALTITUDE setting in 4 additional easy steps:

6.

Leaving the CO2 PPM display mode, you now enter the Elevation display mode: the 3-LED display shows the current Elevation setting (fast flashing).

7.

Click button repeatedly to change the value: 5 values are available; see the product overlay to figure out the Elevation 3-LED code (Altitude).

8.

Once selected, hold the button for a minimum of 5 seconds, the 3-LED display will stop flashing.

9.

Let button go: the 3-LED display will blink 4 times to confirm the new setting has been saved. Unit returns to normal operation.

2- Calibrating the CO2 sensor in 3 easy steps in FRESH AIR (400 PPM): make sure to place the module outdoor or next to an open
door/window.

1.

Hold the pushbutton for a minimum of 10 seconds. The 3-LED display blinks at a rate of 1 pulse per second. Let button go before 10 seconds to abort
the calibration. If you reach 10 seconds and still want to abort calibration, DO NOT LET BUTTON GO and REMOVE POWER from unit.

2.

Let button go (after 10 seconds) to enter the Calibration Mode. Calibration just takes seconds.

3.

The 3-LED display will blink 4 times to confirm the calibration has been successful. Unit returns to normal operation.

DAY AND NIGHT DETECTION and CO2 ENRICHMENT OPERATING MODE

The photocell detects a NIGHT condition when it senses darkness for a minimum period of 8 seconds.

The photocell detects a DAY condition when it senses light for a minimum period of 8 seconds.

During the DAY ONLY, the unit will cycle the output ON and OFF to maintain the CO2 level between the setpoint and 200 PPM below setpoint
(Example: if the setpoint is 1250 ppm, the USCO2 will turn the generator ON at 1050 ppm and will turn it OFF at 1250 ppm.)

Please visit www.grozonecontrol.com for application notes and new product updates.

STEP 1

INSTALLING AND POWERING THE

CONTROLLER

1) The USCO2 uses a plug-in type enclosure. Make sure to place your controller at a

minimum distance of 4 to 8 feet from the CO2 generator. A power cord may be
necessary either to power the controller to the closest 120V outlet or to hook-up the
controller and the generator.

2) Power-up sequence: the 4 LED indicators (including Output ON) turn ON for 3

seconds, then the 3-LED display indicators (Ambient CO2) will flash for 30 seconds
until a valid CO2 value is available. When the indicators stop flashing, a valid
ambient CO2 PPM value is displayed. The Output ON indicator is ON only when
120V is present on output.

3) Reading the CO2 PPM value (ambient): the 3-LED display enables the controller

to show up to 7 CO2 PPM ranges.

4) About your CO2 generator: it can be a burner or a tank. USCO2 built-in relay can

drive 120V 5Amps inductive loads (such as a valve solenoid). The USCO2 is using
the same relay as Grozone SCO2 Controller.

The USCO2 is the easiest-to-use CO2 controller made by Grozone.

CO2 PPM and Elevation settings are factory set to 1250 PPM and Sea Level respectively.

Ambient CO2 PPM value is displayed in five ranges from 900 to 1600 PPM.

Alternate settings are available and can be set using the 1-Key Programming Mode:

Alternate CO2 PPM settings are 1000, 1125, 1375 and 1500 PPM.

Alternate elevation settings are 1000, 3000, 5280 and 7000 feet above sea level.
