Unplug the ribbon cable and power supply cable (see 1 in diagram) from the
hard drive.

Remove the four pins (see 2 in diagram) from the hard drive.

Insert the four pins in the new hard drive in the same position they were in
the old hard drive.

Set the jumpers on the new hard drive to be the Primary Master IDE drive
(refer to the instructions that came with your new hard drive).

Rest the hard drive upside down on a flat surface, with the connectors facing
left.

Reconnect the ribbon cable and power supply cable to the new hard drive.
