Detachable Cord Instructions
CAUTION: A short detachable power supply cord is provided to reduce
the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping
over a longer cord, and from young children pulling on the power cord,
tipping over the fondue pot and its hot contents. The cord is designed to
break away from the fondue pot quickly and smoothly when pulled, to
prevent the unit from tipping over.
The Detachable Power Cord is designed for use with designated Fondue
Pot only. Do not try using it on any other appliances.
Do not use with an extension cord.
WARNING: Serious burns may result from a fondue pot being pulled off
a countertop. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of the counter
or be placed where children or others may pull on it or become entangled
in it.
The Detachable Power Cord may present a risk of electric shock and
choking. Keep the cord out of reach from children and infants.
Polarized Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As
a safety feature to reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Cordon électrique détachable
ATTENTION : Cet appareil est livré avec un cor don électrique détachable
court afin de réduire les risques de blessures résultant d’un accr ochage
accidentel du cordon et éviter qu’un enfant ne le tir e volontairement et ne
renverse sur lui le contenu du caquelon. Pour réduir e les risques de
renversement accidentel, ce cor don électrique est conçu pour se détacher
facilement de l’appare il à la moindre traction.
Ce cordon détachable est conçu uniquementpour cet appar eil à fondue.
Ne pas l’utiliser avec un autre appar eil.
Ne pas utiliser de rallonge électrique.
AVER TISSEMENT :Le r enversement d’un récipient à fondue peut
entraîner de graves brûlures. Ne laissez pas le cor don pendre sur le bor d
du comptoir de cuisine ou à un endroit où un enfant pourrait le tir er
volontairement et où toute personne pourrait s’y accr ocher
accidentellement.
L ’utilisation d’un cor don électrique peut présenter un risque de choc
électrique ou d’étranglement. T enir ce cor don hors de portée des enfants.
Prise polarisée
Par mesure de sécurité, cet appar eil est muni d’une prise polarisée
(l’une des fiches est plus large que l’autre). Pour réduir e les risques
d’électrocution, cette prise ne peut êtr e connectée à une prise murale
polarisée que dans un seul sens. Si la prise ne rentr e pas à fond,
tournez-la dans l’autr e sens. Si le branchement est impossible, faites
appel à un électricien professionnel. Ne jamais modifier ce dispositif de
sécurité.
