Fireproof MOV™ Technology
Protects Your Equipment and Your Home
In the event of a surge, excess energy is absorbed
by a component called an MOV (Metal Oxide
Varistor). The excess energy is then dissipated
as heat. The problem is that in ordinary surge
protectors the dissipated heat can cause sparks and
eventually a fire that can quickly spread in your home. With Monster® Fireproof
MOV™ Protection, the MOV is encased in ceramic to contain the excess heat,
making it your first line of defense against home electrical fires.
