Battery Installation
1. To unlock the compartment cover turn the
unit over. Place the palm of your hand
against the bottom (with the NHL Logo) then
turn the base clockwise.
2. Insert 2 x AA batteries, making sure to match
the polarity (+ and -) as shown inside the
battery compartment.
3. To replace the cover, align the tabs on the
compartment cover with the holes on the unit
then turn the palm of your hand counter
clockwise to lock it into place.
Button Functions
Power: Press to turn selected device on or off.
Set: Press to set up a device.
Enter: Press to confirm your selection.
AV/TV: Press to switch between television or
auxiliary devices.
TV1: Press to select the television programmed
under TV1.
TV2: Press to select the television programmed
under TV2.
VCR: Press to select your VCR player.
CATV: Press to select your cable box or
satellite box.
DVD: Press to select your DVD player.
Rcvr: Press to select your receiver or AMP.
AUX: Press to select your CD player.
MUTE: Press to mute the sound.
Numbers: Press to select numbers one through
nine.
0/10: Press to select either zero or ten.
VOL+: Press to increase the volume.
VOL-: Press to decrease the volume.
CH+: Press to scroll codes when programming
under Quick Search Mode.
CH-: Press to scroll one channel down or to
scroll codes when programming under Quick
Search Mode.
PROGRAMMING YOUR REMOTE
Your NHL Universal Remote ® will fulfill all of
your remote control needs. This universal
remote can control two televisions, a VCR
player, a DVD player, a cable or satellite box, a
stored receiver or AMP, and your AUX box.
There are three different methods to program
your remote: manual search mode, quick
search mode and auto search mode.
MANUAL SEARCH MODE
To program your remote under Manual Search
Mode, first look up the three-digit code for your
device in the “Device Codes” section of this
manual. There may be several codes listed for
your TV’s manufacturer.
Once you’ve found your device in the list, follow
these steps.
Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons
until the LED turns on. Then press the device
key (TV 1, TV 2, VCR, CATV , DVD , RCVR
OR AUX ) that you wish to program. The LED
will flash once.
Then using the number buttons, enter the
three-digit code for your device. After entering
each button, the LED will flash once.
Then press the enter button to store the code
number. If the code has been entered correctly,
the LED will flash three times and then turn off.
Otherwise, if it doesn’t flash three times, you
need to repeat all of the previous steps.
To test the code, point the puck at the TV and
press the power button. If the TV turns on or
off, the correct code has been programmed. If
your TV does not turn on or off, try the next
code on the code list for your manufacturer.
QUICK SEARCH MODE
To program your remote under Quick Search
Mode, first turn on the device you wish to
program and point the remote toward it.
Then press and hold the SET and POWER
buttons until the LED turns on.
Then press the device key (TV 1, TV 2, VCR,
CATV , DVD , RCVR OR AUX ) that you wish
to program. The LED will flash once.
Then press the CH+ button followed by the
power button to test if the code matches the
device. Each time you press ch+, a new code is
sent to your TV. When your TV turns off, stop.
You have found the right code. Do not hit the
ch+ key again. Press enter to save the code.
Press the power key to verify that the TV turns
on and off.
Please be patient. Your remote is searching
through all of the codes and you may need to
press CH+ and power more than a hundred
times to find the correct code.
AUTO SEARCH MODE
To program your remote in Auto Search Mode,
first turn on the device you wish to program and
point the remote toward it. Then press and hold
the set and power buttons until the LED turns on.
Then press the device key (TV 1, TV 2, VCR,
CATV , DVD , RCVR OR AUX ) that you wish
to program. The LED will flash once. Then
press the ch+ button.
Then hold the power button for about two
seconds until the LED turns on. Release the
POWER button and the LED will flash slowly.
Your remote is searching through all of the
codes. Continue to point the remote at the
device until your device responds.
If your device turns off, turn it back on and
press the CH+ button on your remote. Then
press the POWER button and CH+ button
alternately until the device turns off and the
code is correct. Press the ENTER button to
confirm and store the code. The LED will
flash three times and then turn off.
FINDING YOUR DEVICE CODE
If your code is not available in the “Device Code”
section, you can find out your device’s code after
programming in Quick Search Mode or Auto
Search Mode by following these steps. First,
press the device button on your remote. Then
press and hold the SET button. While holding
the set button, press 1 to find the first digit, 2 to
find the second digit or 3 to find the third digit.
The LED flashing time will stand for each code
number. If it doesn’t flash, it will stand for zero.
For example, the TV code you are trying to find
is 102.
• Press the SET button and 1. The LED will
flash one time.
• Press the SET button and 2. The LED will
flash two times.
• Press the SET button and 3. The LED will
flash three times.
AFTER YOU’VE PROGRAMMED YOUR
REMOTE
After you’ve programmed your remote, you are
now ready to use it for all of your remote needs.
To use, first press the device key for the device
you wish to control.
Then press the function buttons that you wish
to modify. For example, if you want to lower the
volume of your television, press TV1 (or TV2),
then VOL-. You do not need to press the device
button every time. Your remote will be set to the
device last used.

INSTALLATION DES PILES
1. Pour ouvrir le compartiment à piles, retourner
la télécommande. Placer la paume d’une
main sous la télécommande (côté avec logo
LNH), puis tourner la base dans le sens
horaire.
2. Insérer 2 piles AA, en respectant les
polarités (+ et -) indiquées à l’intérieur du
compartiment à piles.
3. Pour replacer le couvercle, aligner les
languettes du couvercle du compartiment
avec les trous de l’unité, puis tourner dans le
sens antihoraire pour le verrouiller en place.
FONCTION DES BOUTONS
Power : Appuyer pour allumer ou éteindre le
dispositif sélectionné.
Set : Appuyer pour régler un dispositif.
Enter : Appuyer pour confirmer son choix.
AV/TV : Appuyer pour alterner entre la
télévision ou les dispositifs auxiliaires.
TV1 : Appuyer pour sélectionner la télévision
programmée sous TV1.

Numéros : Appuyer pour sélectionner les
chiffres de 1 à 9.
0/10 : Appuyer pour sélectionner le chiffre 0 ou
10.
VOL+ : Appuyer pour monter le volume.
VOL- : Appuyer pour baisser le volume.
CH+ : Appuyer pour faire défiler la liste des
codes au moment de programmer en mode de
recherche rapide.
CH- : Appuyer pour faire défiler vers le bas un
canal à la fois, ou pour faire défiler la liste des
codes, au moment de programmer en mode de
recherche rapide.
PROGRAMMATION DE LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE
La télécommande universelle LNH MD répond à
tous les besoins en matière de télécommande à
distance. Cette télécommande universelle peut
piloter deux télévisions, un magnétoscope, un
lecteur DVD, un décodeur télé satellite ou
câble, un récepteur ou un AMP programmés et
le boîtier AUX.
Cette télécommande peut être programmée de
trois façons différentes : mode de recherche
manuelle, mode de recherche rapide ou mode
de recherche automatique.
MODE DE RECHERCHE MANUELLE
Pour programmer la télécommande à effectuer
une recherche manuelle, identifier tout d’abord
le code à trois chiffres correspondant à la
marque du dispositif souhaité en consultant le
tableau «Codes des dispositifs» dans le
présent guide. Il se peut qu’il y ait plusieurs
codes correspondant au fabricant du téléviseur.
Une fois le code du dispositif trouvé dans la
liste, suivre les étapes suivantes :
Maintenir les touches SET et POWER
enfoncées jusqu’à ce que le voyant DEL
s’allume.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche correspondant
au dispositif (TV 1, TV 2, VCR, CATV, DVD,
RCVR OU AUX) à programmer. Le voyant DEL
clignotera une fois.
Ensuite, à l’aide des touches numérotées,
entrer le code à trois chiffres du dispositif. Une
fois les chiffres insérés, le voyant DEL
clignotera une fois.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche ENTER pour
enregistrer le numéro du code. Si le code a été
entré correctement, le voyant DEL clignotera
trois fois, puis s’éteindra. Sinon, répéter les
étapes précédentes.
Pour tester le code, diriger la télécommande
vers la télé et appuyer sur la touche POWER.
Si la télé s’allume ou s’éteint, le code adéquat a
été programmé. Si la télécommande ne semble
pas fonctionner, essayer le prochain code
figurant sur la liste du fabricant de la télé.
MODE DE RECHERCHE RAPIDE
Pour programmer la télécommande à effectuer
une recherche rapide, allumer tout d’abord le
dispositif souhaité et diriger la télécommande
vers ce dispositif.
Maintenir ensuite les touches SET et POWER
enfoncées jusqu’à ce que le voyant DEL
s’allume.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche correspondant
au dispositif (TV 1, TV 2, VCR, CATV, DVD,
RCVR OU AUX) à programmer. Le voyant DEL
clignotera une fois.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche CH+ suivie d’une
pression de la touche POWER pour vérifier si le
code correspond au dispositif. À chaque
pression sur la touche CH+, un nouveau code
est transmis à la télé. Lorsque la télé s’éteint,
arrêter. Le code adéquat est trouvé. Ne pas
appuyer de nouveau sur la touche CH+.
Appuyer sur la touche ENTER pour
sauvegarder le code. Appuyer sur la touche
POWER pour vérifier si la télé s’allume et
s’éteint.
La patience est de mise… La télécommande
effectue une recherche parmi tous les codes
et il faudra peut-être appuyer plus d’une
centaine de fois sur les touches CH+ et
POWER pour trouver le code adéquat.
MODE DE RECHERCHE AUTOMATIQUE
Pour programmer la télécommande à effectuer
une recherche automatique, allumer tout
d’abord le dispositif souhaité et diriger la
télécommande vers ce dispositif. Maintenir
ensuite les touches SET et POWER enfoncées
jusqu’à ce que le voyant DEL s’allume.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche correspondant
au dispositif (TV 1, TV 2, VCR, CATV, DVD,
RCVR OU AUX) à programmer. Le voyant
DEL clignotera une fois. Appuyer ensuite sur
la touche CH+.
Maintenir ensuite la touche POWER enfoncée
pendant environ deux secondes jusqu’à ce
que le voyant DEL s’allume. Relâcher la
touche POWER et le voyant DEL clignotera
tranquillement. La télécommande parcourt
tous les codes. Continuer à diriger la
télécommande vers le dispositif souhaité
jusqu’à ce qu’il fonctionne.
Si le dispositif s’éteint, le rallumer et appuyer
sur la touche CH+ sur la télécommande.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche POWER et CH+
alternativement jusqu’à ce que le dispositif
s’éteigne et que le code adéquat ait été
trouvé. Appuyer sur la touche ENTER pour
confirmer et enregistrer le code. Le voyant
DEL clignotera trois fois, puis s’éteindra.
COMMENT TROUVER LE CODE DU
DISPOSITIF SOUHAITÉ
Si le code n’est pas disponible dans le tableau
«Codes des dispositifs», il est possible de le
trouver après avoir programmé le mode de
recherche rapide ou le mode de recherche
automatique en suivant les étapes suivantes :
Tout d’abord, appuyer sur la touche
correspondant au dispositif sur la
télécommande.
Appuyer ensuite sur la touche SET et la
maintenir enfoncée.
Tout en maintenant la touche SET enfoncée,
appuyer sur 1 pour trouver le premier chiffre,
sur 2 pour trouver le deuxième chiffre ou sur 3
pour trouver le troisième chiffre.
Le voyant DEL clignotera selon le chiffre du
code. Si le voyant ne clignote pas, il s’agit
alors de zéro.
Par exemple, pour trouver le code télé 102 :
• Appuyer sur la touche SET et sur 1. Le
voyant DEL clignotera une fois.
• Appuyer sur la touche SET et sur 2. Le
voyant DEL clignotera deux fois.
• Appuyer sur la touche SET et sur 3. Le
voyant DEL clignotera trois fois.
UNE FOIS LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE
PROGRAMMÉE
Une fois programmée, la télécommande peut
être utilisée pour piloter à distance tous les
dispositifs codés.
Appuyer tout d’abord sur la touche
correspondant au dispositif sur la
télécommande à piloter.
Appuyer ensuite sur les touches de fonction à
modifier. Par exemple, pour baisser le volume
de la télé, appuyer sur TV1 (ou TV2), puis sur
VOL-. Il n’est pas nécessaire d’appuyer sur la
touche du dispositif à chaque fois. La
télécommande est réglée en fonction du
dernier dispositif utilisé.
