Step #1 Remove your existing showerhead
Step #2 Unscrew (counter clockwise) the existing shower arm from elbow in the wall.
Step #3 Determine correct length nipple for proper installation of shower pipe tee. (Step A or B)
a. If waterproof wall surface (tile, marble etc) extends above the old shower arm location - measure the distance from the
existing elbow located inside wall surface and add 1”. This is the length nipple required.
b. If waterproof wall surface (tile, marble etc) does not extend to old shower arm location - Hold a straight edge against the
waterproof wall surface (tile, marble etc) extending it beyond the old shower arm location. Measure distance from straight
edge to the face of the elbow in wall and add 1 in. This is the length nipple required.
Note: (2) different length ½” nipples are included (
PART
# 1), but plumbing is unique, your installation may require a
different length nipple than what is supplied. Brass nipples come in a variety of lengths available at most
hardware/home improvement centers. (Threads ½” NPT)
Step #4 Apply supplied Teflon tape and/or pipe dope to the nipple threads (about ½”) and tighten nipple into existing elbow located
in wall, with wrench.
Step #5 Apply Teflon tape and/or pipe dope to nipple protruding from wall.
Step #6 Unscrew top tee from shower pipe. (
PART
#2)
Step #7 Place top escutcheon (
PART
#3) (without notch) over tee and firmly hand tighten tee with shower pipe connection facing
down.
Step #8 Remove adjustable hand shower hanger from shower pipe (PART#4). Slide soap basket (PART #5) over shower pipe,
leaving set screw loose until you tighten shower pipe to top tee.
a
Step #9 The brass mount for the lower shower pipe tee is held in place with a set screw (PART #6). It is very important to not over-
tighten the set screw.
Step #10 Position the shower pipe in the desired vertical position.
Step #11 With a pencil, trace around the lower tee (PART #7), where the brass insert mounts.
Step #12 Slightly rotate the shower pipe out of the way. Push bottom toward the right.
Step #13 Position brass insert inside the marked circle of lower tee and mark hole location.
Option : Mount bottom brass insert with adhesive tape (supplied) eliminating steps 14 &15 or
Step #14 Drill small hole to accommodate plastic insert. Using ¼” masonry bit.
Step #15 Fasten brass mount with screw and plastic insert.
Step #16 Slide lower escutcheon (PART # 8), with notch, over lower tee.
Step #17 Carefully slide lower tee (PART #7) over brass mounting insert (Before tightening set screw level shower pipe with wall
surface as close as possible) and lightly tighten allen set screw.
Step #18 Place washer in hexagon end of shower hose (PART #9) and connect to outlet located lower diverter.
Step #19 Screw handheld unit (PART #10) to the tapered end of hose. Set into adjustable mount (PART #4).
Step #20 Slide trim ring (PART #11) over shower arm
Step #21 Wrap Teflon tape and/or pipe dope on shower arm (
PART
#12) threads & tighten into upper tee. Secure trim ring (
PART
#11).
Step #22 Wrap Teflon tape and/or pipe dope on shower arm threads, insert washer in showerhead (PART #13) and attach
showerhead to shower arm.
