SUPPLY
Batteries
• Open the batteiy compartment and insert as indicated four
batteries, type R20, UM1 or D-ceiis.
• Remove the batteries if exhausted or if they vrili not be used
again for a long period.
The battery supply is switched off when the set is connected
to the mains.
Mains
• Check if the mains voltage as shown on the type plate •
(on the base of the set) corresponds to your local mains
supply. If it does not. consult your dealer or service
organisation.
If the set is equipped with a VOLTAGE SELECTOR,
set this selector to the local mains voltage.
• Insert the female plug of the mains lead into the AC
MAINS socket®and the mains plug into the wall socket.
• To disconnect the set from the mains completely,
withdraw the mains plug from the wall socket.
Important note for users In U.tC:
When fitting a mains plug to the mains lead proceed as follows:
The wires In the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code: Blue=Neutral, Brown = Live.
These colours may not correspond with the colour markings
Identifying the terminals in your plug, so proceed as follows:
Connect the Brown wire to the terminal marked L or coloured Red.
Connect the Blue wire to the terminal marked N or coloured Black.
No connection is necessary to the earth terminal.
Note; This apparatus must be protected by a 3 Amp Fuse if a
13 Amp plug Is used or, if any other type of plug is used, by a 5 Amp
Fuse either in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board. If in
doubt consult a qualified electrician.
The type plate is on the base of the set
This product complies with the radio interference requirements
of the European Community.
RADIO RECEPTION
• The radio is switched on and off with the POWER button ®.
• Adjust the sound with the VOLUME control ®.
You may connect an earphone vrith 3.5 mm plug to socket
EARPHONE ®. The loudspeakers are then muted.
• Select the wave range using AM/FM selector ® (+ © in
case of AM).
• Tune to a radio station using TUNING knob ® ( +
RNE TUNING © for Short Wave).
- For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial ®. To improve
FM-reception, incline and turn the aerial.
- For AM/MW and LW (Medium and Long Wave), the set is
provided with a built-in aerial which can be directed by
turning the whole set.
- For Short Wave (SW), the telescopic aerial must be pulled out
and placed in the vertical position.

ALIMENTATION RECEPTION RADIO
Piles
• Ouvrir le compartiment à piles et introduire quatre piles, type
R20, UM1 ou D, selon le croquis.
• Enlever les piles dès qu'elles sont usées ou si elles ne
sentiront pas pendant une longue période.
L’alimentation par piles est coupée quand l’appareil est
branché sur le secteur.
Alimentation par le secteur
• Vérifier si la tension indiquée sur la plaque signalétique
(sous l’appareil) correspond au secteur local. Si ceci n’est
pas le cas, consulter le revendeur ou l’organisation de
service après-vente.
Si l'appareil est équipé d’un sélecteur de tension VOL­
TAGE SELECTOR , placer ce sélecteur sur la
tension secteur locale.
• Introduire la fiche femelle du cordon secteur dans la
prise AC MAINS © et la fiche mâle dans la prise murale.
• Pour séparer complètement l’appareil du secteur, il faut
retirer la fiche de la prise murale.
• La radio est mise en/hors circuit avec la touche POWER ©.
• Ajuster le son avec la molette VOLUME ®.
Sur la prise EARPHONE ® on peut brancher un écouteur avec
fiche 3.5 mm. Les haut-parleurs sont alors débranchés.
• Choisir la gamme d’ondes à l’aide du sélecteur AM/FM ©
( -F © en cas de AM).
• Rechercher l’émetteur avec le bouton TUNING © ( +
RNE TUNING © pour ondes courtes).
- Pour la FM, sortir l’antenne télescopique ©, puis l’incliner et
l’orienter convenablement.
- Pour les petites ondes (PO-AM/MW) et les grandes ondes
(GO-LW), l’appareil est équipé d’une antenne incorporé.
Orienter l’ensemble de l’appareil.
- Pour les ondes courtes (OC ou SW), sortir l’antenne
télescopique et la placer en position verticale.
La plaque signalétique se trouve sous l'appareil.

radioélectriques.
