Remove and clean the burner orifi ce
Your dealer or Norcold authorized service center must do this procedure.
Remove and clean the burner orifi ce (See Art00956):
- Close the valve at the propane gas tank(s).
- Push the on/off switch and hold it for 2 seconds to turn off the refrigerator.
The burner box cover can be hot. Wear gloves to avoid burns.
- Open the lower intake vent.
- Remove the burner box cover by removing the screw.
To avoid possible propane gas leaks, always use two wrenches to loosen and tighten the gas supply line
connections.
- Remove the fl are nut from the orifi ce assembly [77] (See Art00956).
- Remove the orifi ce assembly from the burner [78].
Do not try to remove the orifi ce [79] from the orifi ce adapter [80] when cleaning. Removal will damage
the orifi ce and seal of the orifi ce and can cause a propane gas leak. Leaking propane gas can ignite or
explode which can result in dangerous personal injury or death. Do not clean the orifi ce with a pin or other
objects.
- Clean the orifi ce assembly with air pressure and alcohol only.
- Using a wrench, assemble the orifi ce assembly to the burner.
- Assemble the fl are nut to the orifi ce assembly.
- Examine all of the connections for gas leaks.
- Clean the burner box.
- Assemble the burner box cover.
