Connecting to Video Equipment

Connect the unit to a video cassette recorder, video
camera recorder, or other video equipments w ith the
supplied A/V connecting cable.
When connecting, turn off the power of the unit and
the video equipment.

If your video camera recorder has a VIDEO/AUDJO
IN/OUT selector switch, set it to OUT.
Enjoying High Quality Picture
and Sound
If your video equipment has an S X’lDEO jack, \'ou can
enjoy a high quality picture. Also \ ou can enjov high
quality sound by connecting to active speakers.
Connecting to video equipment with S
VIDEO jack (See illustration Q.)
Connect with the A/V connecting cable (supplied) and
S \-ideo cable (not supplied}.
The VIDEO (vellow) plug does not need to be
connected. But e\ en if it is connected, this unit
automatical!v selects S VIDEO signal.
Note on 5 video cable
Connect the plug u'ith the è mark upw ard t(.> the jack.
Connecting to Active Speakers (See
illustration B.)
Connect the plug of the active speakers (not supplied)
to the PHONES (headphones) jack of the unit.
The optional Sonv acth’e .speakers SRS-A91 are
recommended.
Connecting to a HiFi stereo System
(See illustration Q.)
Connect the audio plugs of \ ideo equipment to a HiFi
stereo system. You can listen to sound from a HiFi
stereo system. For details, refer to the HiFi stereo
system instruction manual.
Replacing the Bulb (see
illustration
Q.)
When the bulb in the unit wears out. replace with a
new one.
As the bulb is too hot to touch immediately after use,
wait for 30 minutes belore replacing.
1 Disconnect the AC plug.
Leave the unit for 30 minutes.
2 Loosen the screw on the bulb-cover and
pull out the cover.
Loosen the screw with a coin, etc.
3 Make sure that the bulb is cool. Then pull it
out and replace with a new one.
When
replacing
the
bulb,
put
the
bulb's
carton
box
on the bulb and pull it out holding the box.
4 Put back the bulb-cover and screw down.
Halogen bulb life
The supplied bulb, Halogen bulb XB-CPJIOO lasts for
approximately
200
to 600 hours in continuous use.
The time differs in accordance with conditions of use.
Replacement bulb
When the supplied bulb wears out, use bulb X13-
CPjlOO manufactured by Sonv.
If any other type of bulb is used, the power of the unit
may not activate or it may cause malfunction.
Note on the bulb
• Do not touch the bulb immediately after use as it is very
hot.
• Do not touch the surface of the bulb and the inside of the
reflector. If they become dirty’/ the efficiency of the bulb
may decrease.
• Do not drop or knock the bulb.
• After replacing the bulb, be sure to close the buib-co\ er.
