To ensure the safe and proper installation of the adjustable tension back upholstery, these
instructions MUST
be followed:

sheet. If you are unable to understand the warnings, cautions and instructions, contact a
healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel if applicable, before attempting to
install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
After the adjustable tension back upholstery has been positioned to the user’s individual
needs, the hook and loop fasteners straps MUST be securely fastened before applying
the back upholstery cover. The adjustable back should be checked whenever entering
the chair to ensure that the hook and loop fasteners are securely fastened.
Your therapist and physician should be consulted if you have any questions regarding
individual limitations and needs.
As the needs of the individual become more complex, the evaluation becomes more
important.

- The adjustable tension back upholstery is a new feature. It is a positioning device with numerous applications.
- The straps can be adjusted to various levels of tension to accommodate individual end users. In a typical scenario, the bottom two straps can be adjusted tightly to support and/or assist the extensor muscles.

- The back upholstery cover is designed for three reasons:
- • As a modesty cover to prevent one’s posterior from protruding out of the chair.
- • To keep the cushion from sliding out the back of the chair.
- • As a sacral support depending upon how far or tight the flap is pulled under the seat cushion.
- Removing Non-Adjustable Tension Back Upholstery
- 1. Cut cable tie that secures back upholstery to tab on axle mounting place.
- 2. Remove lock nut and button head cap screws that secure cane handles to frame tube.
- 3. Remove cane handles from frame tube.
- 4. Remove mounting screws that secure upholstery to cane handles.
- 5. Remove upholstery from cane tubes.
- Installing Adjustable Tension Back Upholstery
- 1. Slide one cane handle into each section (anchor loop/adjuster strap) of the adjustable back upholstery with grommet hole facing the rear of the chair.
- 2. Secure adjustable back upholstery to cane handles with mounting screws.
- 3. Set each cane in frame tube at desired height.
- 4. Thread screw from the outside of the frame tube through cane handle and securely tighten with locknut.
- 5. Slip adjuster straps through corresponding anchor loop and adjust back upholstery. Secure with hook and loop fasteners.
- 6. Attach back upholstery cover (hook and loop fasteners) to the back of the adjustable back upholstery (hook and loop fasteners).
- 7. Flip the back upholstery cover over adjustable back upholstery and secure (hook and loop fasteners) to the front of the adjustable back upholstery.
- 8. Lay front portion of back upholstery cover on seat with existing cushion removed.

- La housse de la toile a été conçue pour trois raisons:
- • Elle empêche que le postérieur de l’utilisateur ne dépasse du fauteuil et fait donc office de toile de modestie.
- • Elle empêche le coussin de siège de glisser vers l’arrière du fauteuil et de tomber.
- • Elle offre un soutien au sacrum ; le soutien obtenu dépendra du degré de serrage du rabat sous le coussin du siège.
- Retirer la toile de dossier non réglable
- 1. Couper le serre câbles qui attache la toile à l’attache de la plaque de montage des essieux.
- 2. Enlever le contre écrou et les vis d’assemblage à tête ronde qui attachent les poignées des tiges au tube du châssis.
- 3. Retirer les poignées des tiges du tube du châssis.
- 4. Enlever les vis à tête Phillips qui attachent la toile aux poignées des tiges.
- 5. Retirer la toile des poignées de dossier.
- Installer la toile à tension réglable
- 1. Glisser une poignée de tige dans chaque section (boucle d’ancrage/courroie de réglage) de la toile à tension réglable, en vous assurant que le trou à œillet soit orienté vers l’arrière du fauteuil.
- 2. Fixer la toile réglable sur les tiges de dossier avec des vis de montage.
- 3. Régler chaque tige de dossier au châssis à la hauteur désirée.
- 4. Insérer la vis à travers les tiges de dossier en passant par l’extérieur du tube du châssis et bien serrer avec le contre écrou.
- 5. Glisser les courroies de réglage à travers les boucles d’ancrage correspondantes et ajuster la toile de dossier. Faire tenir en place avec les attaches type crochet/boucle.
- 6. Fixer la housse de toile (attaches crochet/boucle) à l’arrière de la toile réglable (attaches crochet/boucle).
- 7. Rabattre la housse et bien l’attacher (attaches courroies crochet/boucle) à l’avant du coussin dorsal.
- 8. Placer la partie avant de la housse sur le siège après avoir enlevé le coussin de siège existant.
- 9. Lisser les plis de la housse avant de replacer le coussin existant.
